It was a packed house for the new Mayor of Norwalk.

After the ceremony, Mayor Rilling said, "I don't think any words could adequately explain just what I'm feeling. It's exhilarating, it's energizing and I really can't wait to get to work to help the City [of Norwalk] move forward."

Harry Rilling was sworn in as Mayor of the City of Norwalk by Governor Dannel Malloy on Tuesday afternoon.
Governor Malloy said, "The people of Norwalk have rewarded you with this, quite frankly, solemn office. They look to you for their guidance and their leadership as you and they strive to create a current Norwalk and a future Norwalk."
During his remarks, Rilling said Norwalk's best days are
yet to come.
He said, "My recipe for getting us there will be listening, working together and leading us forward so people inside and outside to Norwalk say, "You see that shining city on the hill, that's Norwalk and isn't it a beautiful place to work and live."
