Sutton Foster to Headline Benefit Concert

“Shine a Light on Children’s Mental Health” Feb 12

Two-time Tony Award Winner Sutton Foster, along with nearly 80 local high school students, will grace the stage of Westport Country Playhouse on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in a special benefit concert for the Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County, a non-profit which provides mental health services to over 2,000 local children every year.

Ms. Foster, who won Tony Awards for her performances in "Anything Goes" and "Thoroughly Modern Millie", will headline the benefit with additional musical performances by Adam Kaplan (from the Broadway cast of "NEWSIES"), Adam Christoferson (Musical Intervention), and local theatre and chorus groups representing Brien McMahon High School, Broadway Bootcamp, Greens Farms Academy, Music Theatre of Connecticut, New Canaan High School, Staples High School, Weston High School, Wilton High School, and Wiremill Academy.

Founded in 1956, the Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County (the Center), a not-for-profit organization that provides mental health care services to over 2,000 children each year from Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Westport, Weston, and Wilton.  

The “Shine a Light on Children’s Mental Health” benefit will begin at 7:30 p.m. with a VIP cocktail reception beginning at 6:00 pm.  Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.childguidancemfct.org or calling the Playhouse Box Office at (203) 227-4177.  Limited event sponsorship opportunities are still available.  To learn more contact Marissa Mangone at mmangone@mfcgc.org.
