Norwalk To Host Latino Community Outreach Event

The Norwalk Department of Police Service will be hosting a Latino Community Outreach event at the South Norwalk Community Center on Saturday August 23, 2014 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Norwalk Police Department, United States Attorney’s Office, International Institute, Connecticut Department of Labor and Domestic Violence Center of Connecticut will be presenting.

Mayor Harry Rilling and South Norwalk Community Center Executive Board Member Edwin Camacho will also be speaking at the event. The event will be presented primarily in Spanish however, all are welcome.

The department has also released the information is spanish for those who may be interested:

"Si usted o alguíen qué usted conóce ha sído víctima de un crimen, o no le pagaron por sus servícios laborales, y le preocúpa sú estatus legal en éste país?

Hay organizacíones dispuestas para ayudárle y contestar sus preguntas. Venga aprender sobre sus derechos, recúrsos y servícios legales.
