Back to School season is here and at Connie B's in South Norwalk, bold prints are back in style.

"The colors are navy blue, red, royal blue. Black, black will always be in but there are a lot of prints this year," said Connie Brown, owner of Connie B's Boutique on North Main Street.

For the past 5 years, Connie Brown has been outfitting Norwalk for school and work in unique pieces.

"Some of the big designers, they do the same thing every year. It's just a little variation on it. I think especially for juniors and for things that are a lot more contemporary, I've noticed prints be big for a couple of years now."

Brown says this fall, certain styles are making their way into people's closets.

"A lot of the aztec prints are in. There are very little plain dresses. Aztec is huge," said Brown.

"Bohemian is a big comeback and a lot of the bohemian jewelry as well is on its way back. We're still staying with the short dresses and the hem lines are kind of all over. We still have a few high-low styles here," said Gina Till, a sales associate at Connie B's.

And with the weather cooling down, Till says transition pieces are being wore by many.

"[Tunic dresses] are the type of dress you can wear in that transition period of fall. As the temperatures get colder, you can take the tunic dresses, belt them, bring them up a little bit more and wear leggings or jeans under them with boots"
