Children at Stepping Stones rolled into Spring on Saturday with an Egg-straordinary Egg-stravaganza.
"This is a celebration of Spring. We are celebrating the holidays with egg races. We have a fun egg named Benedict here. We have face painting, egg decorating and a lot of movement going on," said Katie Schumitz, Museum Educator at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk.
The museum hosted its inaugural Egg-stravaganza complete with egg themed exercises for the whole family.
"There are a lot of egg hunts around the area but we wanted something different. We wanted movement and being outside. It's not picking one holiday, it's celebrating all the holidays all in one and just coming together and having fun," said Schumitz.
Kids competed with Benedict the Egg in the egg race and learned just how to flip an egg with museum staff.
Georgianna Lissauer from Cos Cob said, "It's a beautiful day and we couldn't wait to get outside. They just opened the courtyard again and there are so many fun activities for the kids so it was something we were really looking forward to."
Norwalk resident and museum member Sydney Otoshi attending the event with his family, including his 21 month old son. "My child very much enjoys all the activity and being able to interact with all the other kids, so it is very important that we come to the museum,"
