Kids will be able to learn about their bodies both inside and out with Stepping Stones Museum for Children's newest exhibits Express Yourself & Healthyville
Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill, Director of Exhibit Design and Delivery at Stepping Stones Museum said, "It's an opportunity for kids and families to come together and explore how to manage their feelings, why it's important to stay active, why it's important to eat right. Between both exhibits, it's really a holistic look at health both with your physical health but also your emotional social health as well."
Express Yourself allows visitors to use art, music and games to learn more about social emotional health.
Cifaldi-Morrill added, "We have lots of tips for parents who may be struggling or challenged with some of their children's behavior. Inside the exhibit kids will learn how to cooperate with one another, how to express themselves; lots of art and music based activities and lots of group activites as well."
The updated and expanded version of Healthyville, will take visitors from the dentist office, to building a healthy plate and learning about physical health through a variety of activites.
"Really teaching children about fitness and nutrition and hygine which are really important tips which we know children are learning in school and at home but it's another informal way to learn about the body and we're hoping that families can learn together and continue conversations at home about fitness and nutrition," said Cifaldi-Morrill.
Healthyville and Express Yourself will officially open on Friday, February 14th. For more information about both exhibits, visit www.steppingstonesmuseum.org.
