Saturday Norwalk Community College students, faculty and Norwalkers marched for peace.
"Instead of imagining a world in peace, we should create a world in peace," said NCC student Christine Fils-Aime.
Saturday was International Peace Day, capping off a weeklong celebration at the college.
"Peace is a really a universal value," said college president Dr. David Levinson. "It's universal in terms of the one-to-one interactions we're engaged in, listening to one another."
"With everything that's going on in the world, it's all hectic," said Fils-Aime. "If we can just come to a peaceful place where everybody is getting along, I feel that any of these things happening wouldn't be happening."
